Is your companies email down a lot? Get a lot of complaints from employees about not getting on the web? Still have computers so old that they still have floppy drives? You’re not alone, I’m afraid. Even the White House did until Obama took office.
According to Brook Colangelo, the White House CIO (whatever that stands for), email servers were down 23% of the time when he got in back in 2008. TWENTY-THREE PERCENT. OVER 4 HOURS A DAY. Somebody was taking some LONG lunch breaks.
If you are anywhere close to this bad (or, heaven forbid, worse), then first of all remember that even the white house has issues. Then, when your pride is subdued, do something about it. (Hint: I know a really great company that does email really, really well and you should talk to them).
